I'm glad the Lord has His 'spade patrol' who spot the problem and help us in recovering the lost ground. Often they are unaware of the fact of being God's 'soil recovery task force.'Whether it is writing or praying or worshipping etc as the Scriptures says 'let us encourage one another' that is a sure and safe way to bloom again.Ray Hawkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17720158812896505028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-515660504291275491.post-88585234783836979682013-11-15T11:28:29.760+11:002013-11-15T11:28:29.760+11:00Yes, blessed indeed Dorothy to have those who enco...Yes, blessed indeed Dorothy to have those who encourage on the writing path. I'm blessed with many who've done the same for me. It's like they toss a generous spadeful of rotted compost onto our exposed roots, just when we need it most. :) Dorothyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13622521834128746217noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-515660504291275491.post-25212242235822384152013-11-15T10:45:27.903+11:002013-11-15T10:45:27.903+11:00Dale, thanks for your honest and encouraging post....Dale, thanks for your honest and encouraging post. It's great to hear that you're working on your new novel. Discouragement can come in many guises, and it's so important for Christian writers to stay grounded in God's word. The browallia flowers are really pretty, and I remember my grandmother calling them Ginger Meggs :) Narellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07665380446283721576noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-515660504291275491.post-86096926322925434252013-11-15T09:34:19.056+11:002013-11-15T09:34:19.056+11:00Thanks Jo-Anne. When I triied to buy one here at a nursery I was told they were 'old fashioned' and they didn't stock them. I never thought of flowers going out of fashion. But a dear friend had one and layered one of hers. Our second browallia was then layered from that first one.Dalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14217918666756258037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-515660504291275491.post-5789973276198928432013-11-15T08:33:50.909+11:002013-11-15T08:33:50.909+11:00Thanks, Dale, for your great blog, but also for th...Thanks, Dale, for your great blog, but also for those beautiful photos of the browallia in your garden--never heard of them! So true that our roots have to go down deep into God as we write. And that's wonderful how you received the encouragement you needed to keep on writing that next novel.
