Happy Australia Day!
Over the next two days we're celebrating the Australia Day national holiday by featuring Aussie books on our blog. Today we're celebrating our love for home grown Aussie fiction and sharing photos of books we've read.
|
Jenny Blake reading Rose Dee's 'A New Resolution'. |
|
Amy and Amber with Andrea Grigg's 'A Simple Mistake' and 'Too Pretty'. |
|
Rochelle and Lydia, two of Elaine Fraser's teen readers for 'Love, Justice'. |
|
Michelle with Jo-Anne Berthelsen's 'The Inheritance'. |
|
Nicki Edwards reading 'Cora Villa' by Meredith Resce. |
|
Iola Goulton with Narelle Atkins' first three contemporary romance books. |
It's shout-out time and your turn to let us know the title of an Aussie fiction book that you've recently read, or are planning to read in 2015.
I'm going to read Nicki Edwards' contemporary rural medical romance, Intensive Care, that released only a few days ago.
I am looking forward to reading Narelle Atkins' Her Tycoon Hero :)
ReplyDeleteHi Deanna, I hope you enjoy Her Tycoon Hero. Thanks for stopping by :)
DeleteGreat feature, Narelle. Love the photos. Hooray for Australasian authors & readers.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. I recently read Adele Jones' Integrate & Meredith Resce's Mortal Insight and Where There's Smoke and have just started reading Andrea Grigg's A Simple Mistake.
ReplyDeleteAlways great to see readers with our books. Over the New Year season recently I had to spend too many days lying down with a very painful hip and back. It did give me time to read and read!
ReplyDeleteI bought a pile of books at the Christian Writers conference last October so managed to read many of them. I enjoyed them all so have no favourites. Here is my list. The first one is the last one I finished and so on down to the earlier ones I've read since last October.
There Runs A Quiet River by L.N. Walker (non-fiction and a wonderful insight to Christians in Vietname)
Mortal Insight by E.B. James
Integrate by Adele Jones
Book One and Two in Aussie Sky Series by Jenny Glazebrook -
Blaze in the Storm
Heart of Thunder
Too Pretty by Andrea Grigg
Narelle's new release. ☺
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout out, Jenny. Xo
Thanks for the shout out Narelle. I hope you enjoy my book as much as I've loved reading yours! I enjoyed Meredith's book Cora Villa as it was set in a home on the Geelong waterfront, near where I live. To make the story even more close to home, the people who owned that home (up until very recently) are very good friends of mine and I wish I'd had the opportunity to show Meredith through the inside of the home - absolutely magnificant and the history was incredible.
ReplyDeleteHappy reading everyone!
Oh please. If it can be organised, I'll come down especially for it.
DeleteI've just read Nicki Edwards 'Intensive Care' plus two other books by first time Aussie authors yet to be published. They still have a ways to go, but it is good to see others starting the journey. Last Year I read Andrea Grigg's 'Too Pretty', Paula Vince's 'Imogen's Chance' and Ray Hawkin's 'Bethlehem Warrior Baby'. I can recommend them all.
ReplyDeleteI should say, Nicki Edward's 'Intensive Care' was excellent. I accidentally put that in the same sentence as the two unpublished manuscripts. Whoops!
