Looking back at our 2014 New Releases

By Narelle Atkins

On our blog each month we post information on new releases by Australasian Christian authors and Australasian Christian publishers. We don't have any new releases to share for December. Instead, I thought we could take a look back at the books released in 2014.

We shared new release information for 26 titles during 2014 in all genres of Christian writing, including fiction, non-fiction and children's books. We include traditionally published and indie books in both print and ebook format, and also new releases from Australasian Christian authors who are writing in the general market.

In the weeks leading up to Christmas, a few of our ACW reviewers will be sharing their Top Ten Reads for 2014.

I work in retail, and last weekend I had the pleasure of tidying a number of book display tables. Customers of all ages browsed at the tables, holding the books, reading a few pages, and checking out the variety of books on offer. The love for printed books is still alive and well in my part of the world, and my Christmas shopping list always includes books.

You can browse our 2014 new releases at the following links:

Are you planning to include books, either print or ebooks, among your Christmas gifts? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

  1. Books are always on my must-buy Chiristmas list. This year both nephews and my sister-in-law will be getting books. Maybe more people if I can find something that will appeal :)

  2. I love giving books to kids at Christmas.Got a few lined up ready to go. I've never given an ebook to anyone for Christmas as yet - I much prefer print copies.

  3. Hi Andrea, I've been gifted Kindle books for Christmas. They're really easy to download and a simple one-click to purchase for others :)
