Do you have goals, dreams and aspirations for your writing? A number of years ago I created an evolving list of writing-related goals and dreams I hoped to achieve and fulfil. I called it my writing bucket list. A bucket list is effectively a numbered list of goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to realize and life experiences you want to have before you die. For example, 101 Things To Do Before You Die.
For those who haven’t heard of a bucket list, you can learn more about them at the website community http://bucketlist.org/ and share your bucket list with others.
My writing bucket list is evolving, rather than static, because my writing journey has taken a number of twists and turns over the years. I prayerfully consider my list and I’ve learned to wait on His perfect timing.
I’ve listed a few highlights from my writing bucket list history:
Finalist in a writing contest: Faith, Hope and Love Inspirational Chapter of Romance Writers of America’s ‘Touched by Love Award’ in May 2007.
Attend an overseas writing conference: 2008 Romance Writers of America Conference in San Francisco.
Attend an ACFW conference: 2013 ACFW Conference in Indianapolis.
Publish an Aussie contemporary inspirational romance book: Signed a 6-book contract with Harlequin Love Inspired Heartsong Presents in February 2013.
Writing bucket list highlights in recent weeks:
Participate in the Romance Writers of America Literacy Signing: July 2014 conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Present a workshop at a national writing conference: 2014 Romance Writers of Australia Conference this coming weekend in Sydney. ‘How to Write and Sell Inspirational Romance’, co-presenting the workshop with my mentor and dear friend, Mary Hawkins.
After years spent traveling the globe, she never expected to be back in her hometown sharing an office with her former sweetheart, Dr. Luke Morton. Megan is focused on building her business, and doesn't have time to dwell on past mistakes. But she can't ignore her feelings for the handsome doctor who works down the hall.
Luke is afraid to trust his heart to Megan, knowing she may not stay for long. But as they work together, their romance quickly rekindles. When a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity comes her way, Luke must free Megan to choose between a big-city career or love and family…right there in Snowgum Creek.
