So, today I thought I'd share the five books I am hanging out to read this summer.
The Lake House by Kate Morton
Kate Morton only writes a book every 2-3 years. I have literally been counting down to the release of her next one since over a year ago. Enough said.
Stars Over Sunset Boulevard by Susan Meissner
Susan Meissner writes exquisite historical/contemporary stories. This one is set around the filming of Gone With The Wind. Merry Christmas to me!
Falling Like Snowflakes by Denise Hunter
I've become a committed must-read Denise Hunter romance fan with her latest series - Chapel Springs. This book starts the new Summer Harbor series and promises to be just as great.
The Bronte Plot by Katherine Reay
Katherine Reay's takes on literary classics are spellbinding. The Bronte Plot, her third book, is already gathering rave reviews.
Vendetta by Lisa Harris
I'm not usually a huge suspense reader, but I've heard such great things about Vendetta I'm going to have have a read!
These are just five from my summer reading list, which at last count was over twenty long. What books are you hanging out for this summer? (or winter if you're a Northern hemisphere friend!)

Summer time is often my time for catching up on biographies. I think it's because they're often released just in time for Christmas. Kara, Morgan on ICFW yesterday mentioned her love for Kate Morton. I really must read one of hers. I have a couple of hers on my bookshelves waiting to be read.
ReplyDeleteYou absolutely must, Ian. She is an incredibly talented writer!
ReplyDeleteHave just bought the latest Kate Morton and can't wait to get into it.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll have to join you Kara and read Kate Mortan's latest!
ReplyDeleteKatherine's = AMAZING! Denise's = Sweet as ever. Love those two ladies. They have amazing talent. Oh, and I've heard Lisa's new book is fantastic. :)
ReplyDeleteYep, I'm a Kate Morton fan too, Kara! Picked up 'The Lake House' in a bookshop the other day to buy but put it back again because there were long queues at the cash register. Now why did I do that? Off to see if my local library can come to the rescue!
